Did you ask yourself what is the reference for some logos we saw them every minute in our life, like USB, @ in the mails address , power button or Bluetooth !!!
i will tell you a brief description about the source of these icons.


Everyone know that Bluetooth epithet comes from the epithet of the tenth-century king Harald I of Denmark "Harald Blutooth", but why he took this nickname? because he was crazy about tasting the blue berries. So one of his teeth fully turned into blue color. BTW, first Bluetooth transmitting device was look likes tooth and with blue color also.




UBS Logo design is taken from Trident shape in Olympic legends but they changed its ends to a triangle, circle and square to represent the multifunctions of USB technology.


About the power button, In the 2cd World War, the Engineers were using the digital numbers to define the buttons so they gave ON button number One, and the shutdown button number Zero. In 1973, One of the standardization institutes make this icon refers to the Stand By operation but later on IEEE decided to be used as Power On.




First Introduced in 1885, in typewriter machines as an abbreviation to the "At the Rate of"




Firewire is a serial interface standard for high speed communications for data transfer like USB. First introduced in 1995 by a sub company of APPLE. They gave it this logo to represent the high speed of transmitting voice and video so it came with three pins: one represents the Sound, the second one for the Picture and last one for the Data.




WiFi name is not a technical name, it reflects Wireless Fidelity. this expression is used from a long time but in research and documents but it was used commercially in 1999 by WiFi Alliance.
